The Ombudsman deals with problems that may arise among staff and students in connection with the operation of the University of Warsaw
A sample range of such problems and disputes includes:
A. Interpersonal relations and conflicts
- Student – professor / tutor disputes
- Superior – subordinate disputes
- Administrative staff – faculty member disputes
- Administrative staff – student disputes
- Horizontal intergroup disputes, involving students, academic faculty or administrative staff
B. Employee concerns
- Mobbing and discrimination
- Irregularities in employee assessment
- Work conditions and personnel policies
C. Student concerns
- Unfair removal from the student roster
- Misconduct violating the rules of study
- Mistreatment
D. Violations of academic regulations or rules
- Sexual harassment
- Discriminatory treatment
- Abuse of authority, mistreatment
- Violation of personal dignity
E. Abuse of academic honesty
- Ethical issues
- Possessing information about illegal and unethical procedures
- Violation of intellectual property law
Any case regarding problems arising from functioning in the academic environment may be brought before the Ombudsman.
