Who is the Ombudsman?
The Ombudsman or an academic spokesperson is a fully independent and neutral university officer, to whom students, faculty and administrative staff may turn for assistance in matters concerning the University and its community, in an informal and confidential manner.
The role of the Ombudsman is to support the staff and students in problem solving and see to it that all members of the academic community are treated fairly and honestly. The function of the Ombudsman is independent of the management structure
The position of the Ombudsman at the University of Warsaw exists from 2 Nov. 2011. The Ombudsman was appointed on the basis of Ordinance No 30 of the Rector of the University of Warsaw of 16 Aug. 2011 on the appointment of the University Ombudsman. Currently the post is held by Anna Cybulko, M.A.
