Campaign “Hate hurts. Mind your words”

Posted on September 26, 2024 by Paulina Górnicka

On September 25, the Rector of the University of Warsaw, Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, launched the information and educational campaign “Hate hurts. Mind your words”. The initiative to organize the campaign came from students of the University of Warsaw. The campaign was launched under the leadership of the team of the academic ombudsman for student and employee affairs.

– The University of Warsaw is our common space and we are all responsible for good dialogue and safe communication. Let’s react to hate speech, not only when we ourselves feel wronged, but also when we witness it – says Dr. Anna Cybulko, academic ombudsman for student and employee affairs at the University of Warsaw in the years 2011-2024.

Information on where to get support if you have experienced hate speech or witnessed it, can be found in the film and on the UW website.

The campaign implementers have also prepared a special website: https://uwazajmynaslowa.uw.edu.pl/en/.
