On March 8-9, a meeting of the ASBiR and representatives of the Školské ombuds platform (ŠOP) was held at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of Education of the University of Silesia in Cieszyn.
This was the second joint meeting of the boards of the Polish and Czech networks of academic ombudsmen in 2024. The first meeting took place in January in Brno.
The March meeting in Cieszyn was held under the slogan “Supporting the Academia. Czech-Polish Seminar of Academic Ombuds. The participants talked about topics related to the functioning of both networks, organizational aspects of the ombudsmen’s work, as well as the plans and challenges of both associations.
The meeting of representatives of ASBiR and ŠOP in Cieszyn is a fruitful introduction to further Polish-Czech cooperation. Both associations share the desire to spread the idea of academic ombudsmen at universities in Central European countries.
